During this session, an International Student Specialist will provide information about the PGWP program (i.e. the eligibility requirements for PGWP program, the application process, work authorization after program completion and after PGWP application is submitted to IRCC.) Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the topic presented in the session.

Xiaobing Lin, International Student Specialist and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor, International Student and Visitor Services, 雅伎著.  She worked as an Assistant Professor of English in Chinese universities for 12 years before studying and working at UAlberta many years ago. She has been working in higher education and international education for over 20 years with rich experience in international student advising and immigration advising.

Lubna Ahmad is an International Student Specialist at the 雅伎著 since 2010 and an RCIC in good standing since 2014. She grew up in Scotland and has worked as a teacher and educator in the United Arab Emirates and Canada for over 20 years working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. It was through her Master of Education studies at the 雅伎著, that Lubna realized her passion for working and helping international students at the post-secondary level. In her current role as an International Student Specialist, Lubna has been supporting international students with their immigration and non-immigration issues, providing immigration consultation to campus stakeholders and advocating for students within Campus and the Government when needed.
