Writing staff offer a variety of free supports to help undergraduate and graduate students and faculty members with their academic writing projects.

Undergraduate Support
Peer tutors can help students understand an assignment. Whether you are brainstorming, drafting, or revising, they can provide personalized feedback and support to help you succeed in your academic writing.

Graduate Support
Experienced writing advisors offer specialized support for those working on research projects, theses and other academic writing genres. They offer free workshops, consultations, writing retreats and weekly writing cafés to help you develop and enhance your writing skills.

Academic Copy Editing
Editors provide high-quality copy-editing services at competitive rates for theses, books, articles for publication, grant applications, reports and career documents. Our professional editors have experience in academic disciplines. They can help you improve the clarity and accuracy of your writing.
Looking for support to enhance your academic writing skills? Writing staff at the Academic Success Centre (ASC) provide free support to undergraduate and graduate students at all levels. We are conveniently located in 2-10 Cameron Library. Our services are available year-round.
Our team is made up of experienced peer tutors and professional writing advisors who are dedicated to providing high-quality support to students. We offer a range of services and resources to support students on their academic writing journey, including:
- Writing Appointments: online and in-person consultations with a peer tutor or professional writing advisor.
- Workshops: in-person and online workshops to help you develop specific writing skills.
- Writing Cafés: group writing sessions where you can work on your writing in a supportive environment.
- Academic Copy Editing: professional editing services to enhance the clarity and accuracy of your writing.
