Capstone Experience

The capstone course integrates theory and practice, challenging students to apply their learning to real-world real estate development projects.

These projects may include feasibility studies (horizontal or vertical developments), comprehensive market analyses, redevelopment proposals, land use and zoning strategy assessments, sustainability and net-zero development plans, financial modeling for large-scale projects or community impact evaluations.
Projects will be completed in multi-disciplinary teams, bringing together perspectives from planning, finance, marketing, engineering, law and construction. This approach ensures students not only apply theory to practice but also learn to navigate the complex, collaborative environment that defines real estate development today.

COurse Schedule

The inaugural MRED+ cohort will begin in September 2026 and can be completed in two and a half years.

The program begins by establishing a strong foundation through its core curriculum. Designed for working professionals, all synchronous (live online) classes will be conveniently scheduled on weekday evenings.

The MRED+ program will follow the traditional academic calendar, with most courses offered in the Fall or Winter terms. There is the possibility of additional courses in the Spring and Summer terms. A detailed academic calendar will be provided to admitted students at a later date.

Prospective students should be prepared for a rigorous part-time commitment. Outside of the scheduled evening classes, time will be required for essential academic activities, including readings, individual assignments and collaborative group projects. This structure is designed to mirror the collaborative and self-directed nature of the real estate industry itself.
